I have learnt so much in the past few months. Multidisciplinary faculty gave insight about various things which helped to change my outlook on different aspects. Often I had one to one interaction with the faculty to improve in performance in every subject. Pedagogy is completely different for each batch.
I would like to thank you for experience which I got in VENUS. I am feeling blessed that for architecture students, we have this center run by an architect. The way faculty teaches us and they way we did our group studies, discussion with u mam and sir everything leads to change my perspective towards architecture field and also our society, most importantly how to think, how to do, and how to explore. We got so much knowledge and self confidence.
Education at VENUS helped me a lot.
Not only studying my B. Arch syllabus but also books on Maths, English helped in solving aptitude. Classes on Planning (history, theory, schemes, goals) are new to architectural students but covered in a very understandable way. Important topics related to GATE like Structures, RCC, Building Materials, History of Architecture were taught with great care. Centre for VENUS not only helped me to get through the GATE exam but also helping in attending my Master's exams and interviews.
I am Sindhu.Ch , I completed by B.arch in 2018. I have taken GATE coaching in Centre for Venus headed by Ar.Kalpana ma'am.It was really a great experience. The institute has not only helped me for my GATE exam but it also guided me in choosing my career.

I underwent coaching for about 2 and half months before the exam. I couldn't give my best in my first attempt as I am an architecture student who had lack of knowledge on Planning subjects. The coaching helped me to get a perception on the overall Syllabus especially with Structures and Planning topics. Joining Centre for Venus was the best thing I could have done as I was extremely confused and didn't know how and where to start preparation for the exam.
Centre for Venus is an initiative started by Ar.Kalpana Ma'am to help and guide students aspiring to appear for Gate exam.
She along with her team of other faculty members teach all the concepts related to Architecture and Planning in depth. The weekly mock tests and grand tests along with group discussions, guest lectures and constant support and guidance by Kalpana ma'am are extremely helpful and more than sufficient to crack Gate examination.
I am extremely thankful to Kalpana ma'am for giving the me the necessary guidance and support that helped me achieve AIR 101 rank in GATE 2018. Good quality of teaching the study materials are thoroughly revised and contains both architecture and planning syllabus in detail. It is very helpful for a student who dosen’t have good knowledge of basics .Visiting faculties are friendly and always welcome to ask doubts at any time .overall in all respect this is the best platform where the faculties start from the basic level and take students to advanced level.
The design classes at VENUS were very helpful because they developed my design thinking skills. Kalpana Ma'am is a very inspiring and motivating teacher, who really helped me to grow as a designer. Attempt and analysis of many practice papers gave me a good idea of how to approach the exams, while outdoor sketching and exhibition visits perfectly balanced learning and fun. I'm also glad that I was able to find great friends here because group discussions were an integral part of the learning process, and one of my most valuable experiences at VENUS. Most of all, Madam's personal guidance and feedback helped me to identify and work on my weak areas. I'm very grateful to VENUS for giving me a platform to explore and grow, under the tutelage of experienced faculty.
Kalpana madam class was a huge help and it definitely helped me sort out my thoughts about designing and my career in general . We started by developing our observation and sketching skills which turned out to be very helpful for the design exercises, simultaneously increasingout imagination and creativity. Once we we're confident about our drawing and design principles,we started with strengthening our analytical,verbal ,non-verbal and spatial reasoning. Along with reasoning,English and aptitude,we revised general knowledge; towards the end of our learning, we practiced drawing in limited time and had group discussions about our work. These discussions were the most helpful for me for they help us understand what people look at when they see your work and what are people's thoughts on different questions. All in all, I owe my success entirely to Centre for VENUS.
It was the first phase of my creative journey I have experienced with Kalpana Ma'am. Creativity, innovation, observation and empathy are few crucial qualities I have learnt throughout this journey. We had loads of fun spending time on developing an aptitude to design and thereafter I have gained lots of confidence. I have improved a lot by practising and making mistakes. It was a wonderful experience altogether for all the time we spent at Centre for VENUS.
